Jeuveau is a neurotoxin that is used for cosmetic purposes to temporarily improve the appearance of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines). Similar to other botulinum toxin products like Botox®, Dysport®, and Xeomin®, Jeuveau® works by temporarily paralyzing specific muscles, preventing them from contracting and thereby reducing the appearance of dynamic wrinkles.
BOOK NOWWhile Botox® is still one of the preferred treatment options to address wrinkles and fine lines, Jeuveau® in San Diego is quickly becoming a popular alternative. Although Jeuveau® works to accomplish some of the same goals as Botox®, many clients are making the choice to try Jeuveau® as a way to achieve their desired appearance.
Since Jeuveau® injections are relatively new to the market, it’s understandable that you may have some questions associated with what you can expect during a Jeauveau procedure.
Absolutely! Jeuveau® is simply a new form of a neuromodulator treatment. If you are interested in having Jeuveau® injections and you have had Botox® before, just let us know when your last Botox® treatment was so we can ensure that you’re coming in at the right time for your Jeuveau® appointment.
The major distinction between Jeuveau® and Botox® is the cost. When you reach out to us to schedule your appointment, our team will take the opportunity to learn more about your goals so that we can provide you with more information about both Jeauveu and Botox® and help you to make the right decision for you.
Yes. Similar to Botox®, Dysport® is another example of a neuromodulator that can have the same type of results as Jeuveau®. The difference between Jeuveau® and Dysport is that you will need to use more Dysport to achieve your desired results.
Yes. Our team of aestheticians have been specifically trained to perform both Botox® as well as Jeuveau® injections. A Jeuveau® injection is perfectly safe as long as you receive a Jeuveau® treatment from an experienced professional.
We can facilitate a Jeuveau® treatment on nearly any area of your body. Whether you want to use Jeuveau® to address problem areas on your face or you suffer from excessive sweating, Jeuveau® can help to address these problematic areas.
A Jeuveau® injection is commonly referred to as a “lunchtime appointment” simply because it’s something that you can do during your lunch break. The entire appointment will take anywhere between 15 and 20 minutes and you should be able to return back to your normal activities immediately following your Jeuveau® procedure. At the end of your Jeuveau® treatment, we will provide you with a list of aftercare instructions.
On average, most of our Jeuveau® patients in San Diego come to see us every two to three months for a Jeuveau® appointment. Keep in mind that there are many factors that can contribute to when you should schedule your next Jeuveau® appointment including the severity of your wrinkles or your target area. We can speak with you more after your initial Jeuveau® treatment on future appointments.
Many of our patients have told us that they have held off on booking a Jeuveau® appointment because they were worried about whether or not Jeuveau® injections hurt. The reality is that, although you may feel a few pinches, Jeuveau® injectitons are relatively pain free.
It’s possible that you may see a decrease in the appearance of lines and wrinkles on your face within two to three days. However, for the average client, you will need to wait anywhere between seven and ten days to see the full results of Jeuveau® injections.
